RESOLUTION
Commending
the Harris County High School cheerleaders; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Harris County High School cheerleaders were declared the 2006-2007 Class AAA
State Champions; and
WHEREAS,
these outstanding cheerleaders demonstrated considerable talent, discipline,
coordination, and teamwork throughout the season; and
WHEREAS,
the squad´s performance during the state competition clearly showed the
extensive training, development, and direction these cheerleaders received from
Coaches Bethany Lucas, Tammy Bailey, and Shea Watson; and
WHEREAS,
the roster of the Harris County High School Cheerleaders includes the following
young athletes: Sierra Bailey, Annette Corpus, Sharonda Cummings, Kaitlin Elsey,
Summer Hale, Ashley Hall, Shaleeia Hamilton, Kendall Hart, Sara Hopkins, Summer
Ingram, Shelby Koutsky, Casey Lincoln, Elizabeth Matthews, Holli Milner, Emily
Norris, Holly Peterson, Kandis Sorrells, Lindsey Thomason, Ashley Williams, and
Lainey Williams; and
WHEREAS,
these outstanding young athletes have brought great honor to the team, school,
and community.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Harris County High School cheerleaders and their coaches
for their inspiring performance.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to the Harris
County High School cheerleaders.
