A
RESOLUTION
Commending
Catherine Pinkerton; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Catherine Pinkerton has shown by the example of her academic accomplishments
that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success is within the reach of the
students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable scholar has earned distinction through her superlative
achievements as a student at Stephens County High School where she has been
selected to receive the 2008 Stephens Works Certificate of Achievement Award for
outstanding results on her college admissions examination; and
WHEREAS,
she has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness,
and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance;
and
WHEREAS,
in a world which seems to accentuate consistently the negative aspects of young
people, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments, intellectual acumen, and unsurpassed commitment
to excellence of such an outstanding individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily commend Catherine Pinkerton for her spectacular scholastic
endeavors and express to her their sincerest best wishes for continued academic
success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Catherine
Pinkerton.
