A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Mr. Michael Huneke II; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mr. Michael Huneke II was born in Indianapolis, Indiana; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Huneke has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that he has played in community leadership and his deep personal commitment to children and the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, after earning a bachelors degree in education, he served as an elementary school teacher at the Navajo Indian Reservation in Naschitti, New Mexico; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Huneke moved to Georgia in 2000 and attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia, earning a masters degree in elementary education, and in 2004, he earned a specialist degree in education leadership from Lincoln Memorial University; and

WHEREAS, he has served as an educator in both the Floyd and Bartow County school systems; and

WHEREAS, he has served his community as director of the childrens' ministry at Town Hills Community Church in Kennesaw, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, he has served on the executive committee of the Bartow County Republican Party since 2003, and in 2004, he was elected as chairman of the Bartow County Republican Party, in which capacity he still serves today; since he became chairman, the party has increased significantly in participation and membership; and

WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; his loyalty, competency, reliability, and enthusiasm have distinguished his superlative service to his community and this state.
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mr. Michael Huneke II for his many decades of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated service to the citizens of his community and this state and extend to him their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Michael Huneke II.
