RESOLUTION
Commending
the Woodstock High School Lady Wolverines fast pitch softball team; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Woodstock High School Lady Wolverines fast pitch softball team has
established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence in girls fast pitch
softball with equal emphases on character and academics; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative team has completed another excellent season of fast pitch
softball competition by posting its first state title; and
WHEREAS,
the Wolverines powered their way through the state playoffs and, as a fitting
finale to their remarkable 2006 campaign, the team captured the State AAAAA Fast
Pitch Softball Championship in an exciting 6-3 win over Collins Hill;
and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and
spirit of each member of the team; their superb offensive and defensive talents;
and the astute direction of Head Coach Tonya Sebring; and
WHEREAS,
this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned its
well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality
of its play, and the stiff competition which it presented its
opponents.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Woodstock High School Lady Wolverines fast pitch softball
team for its unparalleled achievements and extend their sincerest best wishes
for continued success in the future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Head Coach
Tonya Sebring.
