RESOLUTION
Recognizing
Georgia Career and Technical Student Organizations Day; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Georgia Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) and Career,
Technical and Agricultural Education programs provide a solid foundation for the
youth of America and the future of business and economic development systems;
and
WHEREAS,
Georgia CTSOs promote occupational excellence, leadership, and citizenship among
their members, preparing them for the workforce and continued education;
and
WHEREAS,
Georgia CTSOs are an integral and co-curricular component of the Career,
Technical and Agricultural Education programs, which are designed to support
instructional objectives and the attainment of academic and technical
excellence; and
WHEREAS,
Georgia CTSOs provide an opportunity for students to gain confidence and
knowledge through competition; and
WHEREAS,
Georgia CTSOs motivate today´s youth to become better students and more
productive citizens, which in turn helps develop school and community
leaders.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body
recognizes February 28, 2007, as Georgia Career and Technical Student
Organizations Day.
