RESOLUTION
Commending
Marie E. Little; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Marie E. Little is an outstanding individual who has excelled as an athlete and
an academic; and
WHEREAS,
this stellar senior student athlete attends Sequoyah High School and is an
outstanding gymnast under the astute direction of Coach Laurie Hall;
and
WHEREAS,
she has been accepted to a number of colleges but has not yet made a selection;
and
WHEREAS,
her accomplishments include being a state qualifier two years on the bars and
vault, placing second on the beam at this year´s invitational and twelfth
all-around, placing sixth at the AA 3-21 meet, placing second at the AA 3-15
meet, and being a level 9 club gymnast; and
WHEREAS,
this stellar young woman epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership, and
character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance and
to achieve success as an individual and citizen; and
WHEREAS,
she is the daughter of proud parents Matt and Janice Little; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative skills and outstanding
deeds of this accomplished student athlete be appropriately
recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Marie E. Little for her unprecedented athletic performance and
her exemplary academic achievements and extend to her their sincerest best
wishes for success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Marie E. Little.
