A
RESOLUTION
Commending
and congratulating certain players on the 2007 Creekview High School Grizzlies
baseball team; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
several baseball players at Creekview High School received season ending awards;
and
WHEREAS,
on the junior varsity baseball team, John Harben was named the team´s Most
Outstanding Player, Davis Elder was named the Most Improved Player, and Ben
Greene earned the season´s Grizzly Coaches Award; and
WHEREAS,
the varsity team also garnered several honors for the 2007 season;
and
WHEREAS,
Christian Van Camp led all hitters in Region 6-AA with a .500 batting average,
was named to the 12 member first team All Region squad, and took home the Most
Outstanding Player award for the varsity team; and
WHEREAS,
Brandon Beans was named to the second team All-Regions club and Jon Husband
earned honorable mention All-Region honors; and
WHEREAS,
Christian Van Camp and Brandon Beans were the only two freshmen from the 12 team
region to be selected, while Jon Husband was one of only five sophomores to make
the team while taking home the Most Improved Player honors; and
WHEREAS,
the Grizzly Coaches Award was bestowed upon Garrett Lovelace.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend and congratulate these outstanding Creekview High School
baseball players for their outstanding 2007 season and numerous
awards.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the John
Harben, Davis Elder, Ben Greene, Christian Van Camp, Brandon Beans, Jon Husband,
and Garrett Lovelace.
