RESOLUTION
Commending
the Etowah High School Lady Eagles swim team; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Etowah High School Lady Eagles swim team has established and maintained a
proud tradition of excellence in swimming with equal emphases on character and
academics; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative team has completed another successful season of swim
competition by posting an outstanding record; and
WHEREAS,
the Eagles swimming program has grown from 17 members in 2003 to 60 team members
in 2007; and
WHEREAS,
the remarkable performance of the 2006 team marked the continued success of
Etowah High girls swim team winning the county championship in swimming and
placing 9th in the state; and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and
spirit of each member of the team and their superb talents; and
WHEREAS,
this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned its
well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality
of its endeavors, and the stiff competition which it presented its
opponents.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Etowah High School Lady Eagles swim team for its
unparalleled achievements and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued
success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Coach Tracye
Bulger.
