RESOLUTION
Commending
and congratulating Children´s Healthcare of Atlanta; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Child
magazine has ranked Children´s Healthcare of Atlanta third among this
nation´s best pediatric hospitals; and
WHEREAS,
the magazine´s February, 2007, issue includes survey results identifying
the top ten children´s hospitals in America; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable hospital was also ranked among the best in the nation for the
following specialty programs and services: the AFLAC Cancer Center ranked fifth;
the neonatal intensive care unit ranked second; the orthopaedics program ranked
fourth; the Sibley Heart Center ranked third; the pulmonology program ranked
fifth; and emergency services ranked seventh; and
WHEREAS,
Children´s Healthcare of Atlanta, a nonprofit hospital, is well known for
its compassionate care and stellar staff; and
WHEREAS,
these latest rankings confirm the experience of many young patients and their
families, who will not be surprised that a national survey has documented the
excellence of Children´s Healthcare of Atlanta; and
WHEREAS,
Children´s Healthcare of Atlanta is an asset to the metropolitan Atlanta
area and to the state.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend and congratulate Children´s Healthcare of Atlanta for
this national recognition.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to
Children´s Healthcare of Atlanta.
