RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Alisa R. Brown for her outstanding service to the Muscogee County
School District; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
in November of 2006, Alisa R. Brown received the ABCD Award in light of her
efforts as Lead Custodian at Britt David Magnet Elementary School, where she
regularly has gone above and beyond the call of duty in the performance of her
job; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Brown has worked for the school district for 21 years and is a familiar face
to the students, faculty, and staff at Britt David Magnet Elementary, where she
is known for her cheerful spirit and smile; and
WHEREAS,
she supports the entire school in a number of ways beyond custodial areas, as
she is extremely dedicated to the general mission of the school, has a genuine
interest in all students, is supportive of teachers, and watchfully monitors
school facilities for safety; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Brown takes extra pains to help students with homework in the afternoon and
in maintaining the lost and found section for students and parents;
and
WHEREAS,
she works with school PTA executive officers to facilitate functions, serves on
the school's Black History committee, and coordinates with voting officers when
the school operates as a county voting precinct; and
WHEREAS,
her strong work ethic and her genuine love for people have had a positive impact
on the students of Britt David Magnet Elementary.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
commend Alisa R. Brown for her patient and compassionate service to her
community and to the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Alisa R. Brown.
