RESOLUTION
Expressing
regret at the passing of Mrs. Judy Ballard; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Judy Ballard passed away on February 7, 2007, at the age of 76;
and
WHEREAS,
she was born November 28, 1930, and was a long time resident of Santa Rosa
County, Florida, where she had been a basketball star at Allentown High School
and where she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Ballard was a dedicated wife and mother and doting grandmother, and she had
six children, 14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS,
she was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church in Allentown, Florida,
where she was well known for her integrity and her Christian spirit;
and
WHEREAS,
she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, and it is only right
and proper to celebrate the life of this wonderful, caring woman.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body express
regret at the passing of Mrs. Judy Ballard and extend condolences to her
grieving family and friends.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Mrs. Judy
Ballard.
