RESOLUTION
Recognizing
Sandy Kluger for her outstanding leadership of Cherokee County youth basketball
programs; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Sandy Kluger volunteered as a coach for Boston Elementary´s basketball
program when her daughter Sami signed up to play, and, although she had little
knowledge about coaching basketball at the time, she was determined to educate
herself; and
WHEREAS,
after that first year, she worked with Boston Elementary´s Board of
Directors to implement a K-4 program, organize coaching clinics, and eventually
create a girls´ Amateur Athletic Union and Youth Basketball of America
travel team, called the Boston Stars; and
WHEREAS,
since that time, she has served as President of the Chapman Cyclones Basketball
Association, instituting Chapman Intermediate School´s first travel league,
initially for sixth graders, but currently for fifth and sixth graders;
and
WHEREAS,
she also owns a mortgage company, MBA, Inc., and works part time as a real
estate agent; and
WHEREAS,
Sandy Kluger has provided an excellent opportunity for fun and personal growth
to the children of Cherokee County.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
commend Sandy Kluger for her outstanding service to her community as well as the
State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Sandy Kluger.
