Senate Resolution 65

A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is building a stronger and better community in Carroll County by working with the businesses, merchants, and industry to advance the civic, economic, industrial, professional, and cultural life of Carroll County; and

WHEREAS, the chamber of commerce provides the Existing Industry Resource Directory, site location services, research and tourist information, seminars on topics of interest, small business assistance, visitor information, a speakers bureau, membership networking, and many other services to its members; and

WHEREAS, the chamber of commerce and its members provide citizens with a strong business environment that increases employment, retail trade and commerce, and industrial growth in order to make Carroll County a better place to live; and

WHEREAS, with credit to the efforts and leadership of the chamber of commerce, Carroll County is home to excellent housing, schools, health care, and shopping; and

WHEREAS, Carroll County provides what the chamber of commerce calls the "Dynamic Balance," which includes growth without sacrificing quality of life.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in recognizing and commending the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce for its commitment to shaping the future of Carroll County and the State of Georgia.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
