RESOLUTION
Commending
and recognizing New Horizons Employees Achieving Today; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
New Horizons Employees Achieving Today consists of New Horizons Community
Service Board employees who donate moneys to a fund used to assist their
indigent clients; and
WHEREAS,
New Horizons Community Service Board is a nonprofit organization providing
mental health, developmental disability, and addictive diseases services;
and
WHEREAS,
New Horizons Employees Achieving Today has been in operation since 1988 and has
worked diligently over the years to motivate New Horizons employees to donate
moneys used to assist indigent consumers by providing medicines, eyeglasses,
ambulatory devices, transportation, living expenses, and other invaluable
assistance; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding group has continually inspired their coworkers to generously
contribute to this fund, evidenced by a 99 percent giving rate among the
employees and pledging more than $29,000.00 over the past three years;
and
WHEREAS,
the members of this exceptional organization have demonstrated remarkable
leadership talents, tireless dedication, and keen sensitivity to their community
and the consumers they serve; and
WHEREAS,
New Horizons Employees Achieving Today has magnanimously lived its motto
"Employees working to make a difference"; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished group be recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
and recognize New Horizons Employees Achieving Today for its dedicated and
unselfish public service and extend their most sincere best wishes for continued
success.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to New Horizons Employees
Achieving Today.
