A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT


To amend an Act creating a new charter for the City of Clarkesville in the County of Habersham, approved April 9, 1981 (Ga. L. 1981, p. 4502), as amended, so as to change the corporate limits of the city; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
An Act creating a new charter for the City of Clarkesville in the County of Habersham, approved April 9, 1981 (Ga. L. 1981, p. 4502), as amended, is amended by adding a new section to read as follows:

"SECTION 1.11A.
In addition to all other territory within the City of Clarkesville, on and after the effective date of this section, the following described property is annexed to the city and shall be a part of the City of Clarkesville:
ALL THAT TRACT or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lots 2 & 117 of the 10th & 11th Land District of Habersham County, Georgia, containing 44.623 acres, more or less on a plat of survey prepared by Samuel L. Duvall, R.S., under date of October 15, 2001, recorded in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Habersham County, Georgia, in Plat Book 56, Page 296, to which said plat and the record thereof, reference is hereby made for a more complete description.
LESS & EXCEPT: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot 2 of the 10th Land District of Habersham County, Georgia, containing 0.317 acre, more or less, conveyed in that certain Right of Way Deed from Robert J. Tatum and Edna T. Tatum to Georgia Department of Transportation, dated July 1, 2002, recorded in Deed Book 552, Page 437, Habersham County, Georgia records."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
