A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT


To amend Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions relative to the General Assembly of Georgia, so as to require an oath or affirmation for purposes of presenting certain testimony to a committee or subcommittee of the General Assembly; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions relative to the General Assembly of Georgia, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows:
"28-1-18.
The sanction of an oath or affirmation equivalent thereto shall be necessary to the presentation by a person not a member of the General Assembly of any oral evidence in support or opposition of any legislation or request for appropriation to a committee or subcommittee of the General Assembly."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
