RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the Honorable James R. "Bump" Welch for his dedicated years to
public service; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
for over 30 years, Judge James R. "Bump" Welch has served with honor and
distinction as Probate Court Judge for Marion County; and
WHEREAS,
Judge Welch has long been recognized by the citizens of Marion County for the
vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
his unparalleled organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable patience
and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his acute sensitivity to the needs
of the citizens of his community and state have earned him the respect and
admiration of his colleagues and those appearing before him in court;
and
WHEREAS,
Judge Welch has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his
time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community;
and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Honorable James R. "Bump" Welch for over three decades of
his efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service; congratulate
him upon the occasion of his retirement; and extend to him their most sincere
best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Honorable
James R. "Bump" Welch.
