RESOLUTION
Honoring
and celebrating the 85th birthday of Lucille Argroves; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Lucille Argroves was born on February 8, 1924, the beloved daughter of
Laurie B. and Maudie O'Neal Gill; and
WHEREAS,
united in love and marriage to Alton David Argroves, Sr., in January of 1958,
she has been blessed with three loving and devoted children: Beverly Argroves
Thomas, Tonja Argroves Terrana, and Alton David Argroves, Jr.; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Argroves's great source of pride and joy are her three grandchildren:
Zachary Paul Patten, David Joseph Thomas, and Katherine Grace Terrana;
and
WHEREAS,
the devotion, patience, and understanding she has demonstrated have provided the
foundation and framework of success in which all of her family members have
developed and flourished; and
WHEREAS,
this woman of deep, abiding faith has been a member of Dunson Baptist Church
since she moved from Meriwether County to Troup County over 30 years ago;
and
WHEREAS,
this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high
ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens and she possesses the
vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character
which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life;
and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example she has made
of her life, she makes this world a better place in which to live, and it is
only fitting and proper that she be appropriately recognized during this very
special and memorable time of her
life.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in commending Mrs. Lucille Argroves on the occasion of her 85th birthday and wishing her many more years of happiness.
