A RESOLUTION


Honoring the life and memory of Mrs. Regina Guice Greenhouse; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the passing of Mrs. Regina Guice Greenhouse on January 2, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Greenhouse was born on February 24, 1954, a beloved daughter to Lucas Guice and Doreatha Guillot Guice; and

WHEREAS, a resident of Marksville, Louisiana, Mrs. Greenhouse enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music; and

WHEREAS, this devout woman was an active member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, gracing the congregation each week with her beautiful voice as a member of the church's Adult Choir; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Jones was united in love and marriage for 17 years to Kenneth J. Greenhouse and she was blessed with two loving daughters, Trisha Napoleon Hall and LaToyia Napoleon Jacobs, from her first marriage to Joseph Napoleon; and

WHEREAS, during her life, Mrs. Greenhouse served as a dedicated public servant in her position as tax collector for the City of Marksville; and

WHEREAS, she leaves behind family, neighbors, and loyal friends who will cherish her memory and the wonderful times shared; and

WHEREAS, all who were privileged to know this distinguished woman join her family in mourning her loss.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body hereby joins in honoring the life and memory of Mrs. Regina Guice Greenhouse and expressing its appreciation of her many contributions to her community.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Greenhouse's family.
