RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life of Mrs. Margie Arrant Palmer and expressing sorrow upon her passing;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Margie Arrant Palmer was born on September 10, 1931, in Talbotton, the
daughter of Edmund W. and Martha Foster Arrant; and
WHEREAS,
she was an English teacher in Harris County schools for over 47 years;
and
WHEREAS,
she was an avid golfer and a former member of the Warm Springs Golf Course;
and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Palmer was a true Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved her Bridge Club; she was a
member of the Georgia Retired Teachers Association and the Waverly Hall Baptist
Church, where she was a longtime Sunday School teacher; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Norris Palmer;
and
WHEREAS,
she lived a life of service to her community and will be greatly
missed.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body honor the life of Mrs. Margie Arrant Palmer and express their
sincerest condolences to her family and friends upon her passing.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mrs. Margie Arrant Palmer.
