RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life of Mrs. Leila Daniel Holloway and expressing sorrow upon her passing;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Holloway was born on November 30, 1921, in Elberton, the daughter of Allen
Brooks Daniel and Sally Posey Daniel; and
WHEREAS,
she was a retired tax commissioner for Harris County; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Holloway was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Holloway, and her
daughter, Barbara Pearson; and
WHEREAS,
she is survived by one daughter, four sons, 14 grandchildren, 26
great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and one special friend, her
dog, Rennie; and
WHEREAS,
she set a pattern of a life well-lived that can serve as a model for those who
follow in her footsteps.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body honor the life of Mrs. Leila Daniel Holloway and express their
sincerest condolences to her family and friends.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mrs. Leila Daniel Holloway.
