A RESOLUTION


Congratulating the Brookwood High School Broncos baseball team on winning the 2008 Class AAAAA State Championship and inviting the team to appear before the House of Representatives; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, through perseverance, countless hours of practice, and unyielding determination, the Brookwood High School Broncos baseball team earned the top ranking in this state with their victorious outing at the Class AAAAA State Championship Tournament; and

WHEREAS, the title earning win by the Broncos completed their season with an impressive record of 34-3; and

WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the Broncos is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team; their superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach Rick Howard and assistant coaches Titus Martin, Ryan Ledden, and Stewart Taylor; and

WHEREAS, the 2008 Brookwood High School baseball team is comprised of talented athletes Jordan Erisman, Ross Hefley, Grayson Flack, Michael Brown, Wade Brogdon, Stephen Nedigh, Ryan Lewis, Micah Shue, Matt Adams, Buddy Jones, Johnathan Robinson, Jake Moore, Chase Hawkins, Cameron Hall, Wesley Coberly, Seth Adkins, Ronnie Freeman, Alex Beebe, and Chris Paul; and

WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is abundantly proper to call them champions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate the Brookwood High School baseball team for winning the 2008 Class AAAAA State Championship and extend their sincerest best wishes for future success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the players and coaches of the Brookwood High School baseball team are hereby invited to appear before the House of Representatives at a date and time to be fixed by the Speaker of the House for purposes of being recognized by the House and receiving an appropriate copy of this resolution.
