A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Georgia's African American Horse Council Community Advocate Cowgirl, Ms. Stephanie Williams; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, African American cowboys and cowgirls of Georgia diligently and conscientiously devote their time, talents, and energy to giving back to their community through education programs and community service efforts; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Stephanie Williams has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, a native of Los Angeles, California, Ms. Williams has been working with horses since she was seven and is committed to improving Georgia communities one horseback ride at a time; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Williams uplifts the lives of others through her community service and selfless dedication to others; and

WHEREAS, a community service cowgirl, Ms. Williams participates in community outreach with her horse at youth detention centers, providing boys with the chance to interact, bond, and learn about horses; and

WHEREAS, passionate about her sport, Ms. Williams is proud to be part of the African American cowgirl legacy and enjoys seeing children in her community gain self-confidence through their interaction with animals; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Williams is a kindhearted and magnanimous cowgirl who brings great pride to her family, neighbors, and community; and

WHEREAS, the benevolent and honorable deeds of this charitable individual serve as a shining example of volunteerism, and the State of Georgia is honored and blessed to have Ms. Williams as a citizen.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Ms. Stephanie Williams on her selfless contributions to others and recognize her as an African American Horse Council Community Advocate Cowgirl.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Stephanie Williams.
