RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Grover Tuten and inviting him to appear before the House of
Representatives; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Grover Tuten is the Coroner in Richmond County, Georgia, and in 2007, he was
CFR Coroner of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Tuten has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital
role that he has played in community leadership and his deep personal commitment
to the citizens of his community and the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
on many occasions, Mr. Tuten has gone above and beyond the call of duty as
coroner, visiting families who have lost loved ones, and he has even been known
to spend his own money to make certain the surviving family members have all the
information available concerning their lost loved ones; and
WHEREAS,
this distinguished Georgian has exhibited extraordinary devotion to duty,
outstanding service, remarkable patience and diplomacy, and sensitivity to the
needs of family members who have lost a loved one which have earned him the
respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; his loyalty, competency,
reliability, and enthusiasm have distinguished his superlative service to this
state.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize the exemplary service provided by Mr. Grover Tuten and
commend him on his service to his community and this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body invite Mr. Grover Tuten to
appear before the House of Representatives on such date and at such a time as
determined by the Speaker of the House and that the Clerk of the House is
authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to
Mr. Grover Tuten.
