RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Blackwater Grill in St. Simons Island, Georgia, on the occasion
of its tenth anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
located in St. Simons Island, Georgia, Blackwater Grill has been providing
culinary delights in a family-friendly setting since August, 2000, and this year
this fine establishment celebrates its tenth anniversary; and
WHEREAS,
Blackwater Grill owners John and Rhonda Howton have dedicated over a decade to
providing customers with some of the finest low country, Cajun, and southern
coastal cuisine in the South; and
WHEREAS,
tucked away in St. Simon's Redfern Village, Blackwater Grill proudly delivers
delicious meals using the finest and freshest ingredients available;
and
WHEREAS,
chef Jamie Cadden's Brunswick Stew has earned praise and acclaim from customers
and is a two-time winner of the People's Choice award at the Brunswick
Stewbilee; and
WHEREAS,
the Howtons, along with the entire Blackwater Grill staff, consistently deliver
patrons high-quality food in a friendly, comfortable environment in which diners
enjoy hospitable and gracious service; and
WHEREAS,
Blackwater Grill is a favorite of politicians and athletes who visit the St.
Simons area; and
WHEREAS,
Blackwater Grill is a wonderful addition to the St. Simons community and the
residents and visitors of this area are lucky to have such a fine
establishment.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the owners, chef, and staff of Blackwater Grill for their
commitment to supplying heartfelt and delicious meals to be enjoyed in a relaxed
atmosphere and congratulate them on the occasion of the restaurant's tenth
anniversary.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Blackwater
Grill owners John and Rhonda Howton.
