BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Chapter 47 of Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to managing general agents, so as to provide the amount of a policy fee
permitted to be charged by a managing general agent; to provide that such policy
fee shall be part of the insurer's rate filing and shall be fully earned; to
provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.

IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Chapter
47 of Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to managing
general agents, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as
follows:
"33-47-4.1.
A
licensed managing general agent, when placing business with an insurer under
this title, may charge a policy fee not to exceed $25.00. The policy fee shall
be a component of the insurer's rate filing and shall be fully
earned."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
