RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Ms. Waneta McKean; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Waneta McKean has long been recognized for the vital role she has played in
leadership and her commitment to providing excellent customer service;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. McKean has diligently and conscientiously devoted her time, talents, and
energy to the Daytona International Speedway for the past 19 years as a ticket
sales representative; and
WHEREAS,
the McKean family has several members providing race fans with access to their
dreams at Daytona International Speedway, including Ms. McKean's eldest
daughter, Wendy, who has dedicated 24 years to the company; her daughter, Rose,
who has worked for Daytona International Speedway for ten years; and her
grandson, who is also in the ticket sales department; and
WHEREAS,
three generations of the McKean family have dedicated more than 53 years to
Daytona International Speedway, served under three of the four organization's
presidents, and sold over 5.5 million tickets to eager race fans;
and
WHEREAS,
an avid race fan herself, Ms. McKean cheers on her favorite driver, Tony
Stewart, during each race; and
WHEREAS,
before she began her career with Dayton International Speedway, Ms. McKean
worked for 17 years in the family's autobody business; and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of
others have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and
associates; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished gentlewoman be appropriately recognized.

NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Ms. Waneta McKean for her many accomplishments and contributions to her
community, recognize the outstanding customer service she provides to race fans
at Daytona International Speedway, and extend to her sincere best wishes for the
future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Waneta McKean.
