RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mrs. Ruth and Dr. James Kilgore; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Ruth and Dr. James Kilgore have been named Ministers Emeriti by the
congregation of Lake Arrowhead Chapel in Waleska, Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. and Dr. Kilgore were bestowed with this honor by unanimous consent of the
church congregation on January 18, 2009; and
WHEREAS,
on January 25, 2009, the Lake Arrowhead Chapel celebrated the 29th anniversary
of its founding along with the couple's special designation with music provided
by Mrs. Kilgore and a sermon led by Dr. Kilgore; and
WHEREAS,
this distinguished couple has given inspiration to many through their high
ideals, morals, and deep concern for their fellow citizens, and they possess the
vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character
which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life;
and
WHEREAS,
their devotion to the Lake Arrowhead Chapel, its congregation, and the Lord has
proven their reputation as dedicated, faithful, and unwaveringly loyal followers
of the path of God.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mrs. Ruth and Dr. James Kilgore for their unparalleled record of community
service and innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need;
recognize their 22 year-long devotion to Lake Arrowhead Chapel; and extend to
them congratulations on their special honor of being named Ministers
Emeriti.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Ruth and Dr. James
Kilgore.
