A
RESOLUTION
Honoring
and celebrating Pastor Donald Battle of Divine Faith Ministries International on
the occasion of his birthday; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Pastor Donald Battle was born in Birmingham, Alabama, where he met and married
his high school sweetheart, Gwen; and
WHEREAS,
this year friends and family members will gather together to celebrate the
birthday of this wonderful and exceptional man and spiritual leader;
and
WHEREAS,
Pastor Battle served in the United States Army for six years and served 15 years
in Georgia law enforcement as a police detective for the City of Atlanta;
and
WHEREAS,
the career of Pastor Battle was enhanced with additional education as a graduate
of Georgia State University with a B.S. in criminal justice before he obtained
his Master of Divinity and an honorary doctorate degree; and
WHEREAS,
Pastor Battle's consistent obedience to God has taken Divine Faith Baptist
Church from 60 members in 1990 to Divine Faith Ministries International,
currently with a membership of over 8,000; and
WHEREAS,
Pastor Battle is an awesome man of God and a true leader, and it is only fitting
that Pastor Battle be appropriately recognized on this special
occasion.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that Pastor Donald Battle is honored on
the occasion of his birthday, recognized for his lifetime of service and
achievements, and wished continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Pastor Donald Battle.
