RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Pete Castello; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Pete Castello has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as
evidenced dramatically by his years of superlative service with the Republican
Party; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Castello served as a dedicated chairman for Cherokee County for three years
and as chairman of the 9th District for six years, where his hard work,
dedication, and diligence resulted in historic triumphs at the local, state, and
federal levels; and
WHEREAS,
he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty as a member of the
82nd Airborne; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Castello's significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable
patience and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the
Republican Party have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues
and associates; and
WHEREAS,
a devoted Alabama fan, Mr. Castello is a person of magnanimous strengths with an
unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness;
and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mr. Pete Castello for his efficient, effective, and devoted service to the
Republican Party, the 9th District, and Cherokee County.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Pete Castello.
