RESOLUTION
Commending
Ms. Pam Morgan, 2010 Georgia Elementary Art Educator of the Year; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Pam Morgan has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that she has played in the lives of children and her deep personal
commitment to the education of the students of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Morgan has earned distinction for teaching excellence as a result of her
dedication to her students and her profession and has been honored as the 2010
Georgia Elementary Art Educator of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
the recipient of the annual Georgia Elementary Art Educator of the Year Award is
selected by the Georgia Art Education Association in recognition of exemplary
contributions, service, and achievement at the state level; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Morgan is an art educator at Woodstock Elementary School, and her dedication
to enriching the lives of her students has earned her the respect and admiration
of her students, their parents, and her fellow teachers; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that Ms. Morgan's outstanding contributions
to the education and welfare of young people in this state be
recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that this body recognizes, commends, and
congratulates Ms. Pam Morgan upon her selection as 2010 Georgia Elementary Art
Educator of the Year and expresses its gratitude for the great credit this fine
educator reflects upon the State of
Georgia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Pam Morgan.
