RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Bradley Weaver, Winner of the National Future Farmers of
America Agricultural Sales-Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
at the 2009 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, Mr. Bradley Weaver
competed in the Agricultural Sales-Entrepreneurship Proficiency Awards
competition; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Weaver brought great honor and credit to Dawson County and the State of
Georgia, becoming the first national winner in the history of Dawson County's
FFA chapter; and
WHEREAS,
Dawson County has had an FFA chapter since 1933, but Mr. Weaver of Dawsonville,
Georgia, was the first to bring the national title home to the county;
and
WHEREAS,
his achievements truly demonstrate the FFA motto, "Learning to Do, Doing to
Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve," and set a fine example for all those
students who will participate in this outstanding FFA chapter in the years to
come.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
recognizing and commending Mr. Bradley Weaver, Winner of the National Future
Farmers of America Agricultural Sales-Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award and
look forward to the promising future of this outstanding young man.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Bradley Weaver.
