RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Carl E. Swanson, Sr., and Beulah Faye Williams Swanson on the event of their
47th wedding anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Carl E. Swanson, Sr., and Beulah Faye Williams were united in holy matrimony on
September 24, 1961; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Swanson was born on September 5, 1943, graduated from Anderson High School
in Mart, Texas in 1960, dedicated over 14 years to Texas Power and Light, and
currently is a retired contractor; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Swanson was born on January 10, 1940, and she graduated from A.J. Moore
High School in Waco, Texas in 1961, and attended Emory University and Georgia
State University, and in 1992, she was awarded a Master of Divinity from
Interdenominational Theological Seminary in Atlanta; and
WHEREAS,
from this blessed union two children were born, Carl E. Swanson, III and Carla
Swanson Judah; and
WHEREAS,
they stand as a proud and shining example of enduring love and affection and
have seen their family grow and flourish; and
WHEREAS,
the devotion, patience, and understanding that they have demonstrated have
provided the foundation and framework of success in which all of their family
members have developed and flourished; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the selfless deeds and loving devotion
of this remarkable couple be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that Carl E. Swanson, Sr., and Beulah
Faye Williams Swanson are congratulated on the event of their 47th wedding
anniversary.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Carl and Beulah Swanson.
