Senate Resolution 969

A RESOLUTION


Commending Miss Natali Savova Gavanarova and congratulating her on winning the 2010 Georgia Junior Miss Competition; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Miss Natali Savova Gavanarova of Baldwin County has been named Georgia's Junior Miss for 2010; and

WHEREAS, a senior at Baldwin High School, Miss Gavanarova is in the top one percent of her graduating class and has earned 30 college credit hours through her joint enrollment with Georgia College and State University; and

WHEREAS, in June, Miss Gavanarova will represent Georgia in America's Junior Miss National Finals where she will bring great pride to her friends, parents, community, and this state; and

WHEREAS, this exceptional young lady has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including runner up in the Milledgeville's Got Talent contest, District and Region Honor Band, the Highest Academics and Most Improved awards for Baldwin High's tennis team, and was a participant in the Central Georgia Piano Olympics and the National Young Leaders Conference; and

WHEREAS, among Miss Gavanarova's many activities, she is very involved in Beta Club, Key Club, Spanish Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and the jazz, marching, and symphonic bands at Baldwin High School; and

WHEREAS, she gives selflessly of her time, talents, and energy as a volunteer with the Red Cross, Georgia Reads Aloud, Special Olympics, and Chaplinwood Nursing Home; and

WHEREAS, all Georgians are proud of young women who, like Miss Gavanarova, represent the very best that this state has to offer; and
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks forward with great anticipation to the promising and bright future of this remarkable young citizen.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in commending Miss Natali Savova Gavanarova for her outstanding accomplishments and congratulate her on winning the 2010 Georgia Junior Miss Competition.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Miss Natali Savova Gavanarova.
