Clay Cox was first elected to the house in 2004. He has served on the following committees: Banks, Industrial Relations, State Institutions, Public Safety and Homeland Security, and he recently chaired the study committee on Pandemic Preparedness. Clay graduated from Western Carolina University. He and his wife Alisa have two sons and live in Lilburn.
