Born on November 30, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia State Representative Matt Dollar graduated from Pope High School in Cobb County. He was a HOPE scholar and graduated from the Honor’s Program cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia.
Dollar was first elected as a member of the Georgia General Assembly in 2002. He represents House District 45, which includes parts of Cobb County.
Dollar serves on the World Congress Building Authority. In the legislature, he serves as Chairman of the Interstate Cooperation Committee and is a member on the Appropriations, Insurance, Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment, and Transportation Committees. Outside of his legislative duties, Dollar works as a commercial real estate broker.
