Representative Bubber Epps
HD 140 (D - Dry Branch)
I am Bubber Epps, your state representative for the 140th House District. Our district encompasses part of Bibb, part of Jones, and all of Twiggs, and Wilkinson Counties. I’ve been proud to call myself a middle Georgian for my entire life. It is an honor to serve as your Representative at the State Capitol in Atlanta.
My wife Kathryn and I have been married for 44-years, and we have been blessed with three children and eight grandchildren.
Outside of elected office, Bubber has been in the road construction and the paving industry since 1977. Epps Brothers, Inc. is the family-owned business which he served as President from 1994 to 2006.
Bubber was educated in the Twiggs County school system and then attend Brewton Parker College in Mount Vernon, Georgia, where he received an Associates Degree. Then attending Mercer University in Macon, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Masters in Education. Additionally, he completed a post graduate certification program in Educational Administration at the University of Georgia.
Along with administrative positions in Twiggs and Wilkinson counties, he has held teaching positions in Twiggs County and at Stratford Academy in Macon.
Other roles of his have included serving on the Twiggs County Board of Tax Assessors, the Twiggs County Industrial Authority Board, and as a Twiggs County Commissioner for two terms, the last of which I serve as Chairman. Currently I am the Twiggs County Representative for the Central Georgia Development Authority.
His passion for serving his community runs deep which is why he is working everyday to make life better for you as your state representative. Every time he casts a vote on your behalf in the House of Representatives he always keeps in mind the values they share like faith, family, hard work, and community. The committees he serves on in the House include State Planning and Community Affairs, Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight and Transportation.
