Representative J. Craig Gordon

HD 162 (D - Savannah)
I was given the Hyatt scholarship in 1996 to study in NY and interned with Walt Disney World MGM Studios in 1997.
I later accepted a co-op with SMG the largest convention management company in the world and was made the assistant to the director of marketing for the Savannah International Trade Center for two years. I left that job when I accepted an ownership position with Statewide Healthcare Inc. the largest minority health provider in GA and recently honored by the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus. After being employed by Statewide Healthwide Inc. for five years I was recently appointed the CEO in August of 2006.
My current goals are to grow Statewide Healthcare to a new level, build quality affordable homes in Savannah and the surrounding areas, to help make a better Savannah and venture into the franchise restaurant market.
Member of the 100 Black Men of Savannah since 2001, Charter member of the Coastal Network Group and on the advisory board for Capitol City Bank & Trust.
