Representative David Knight is currently serving his third term as a member of the Georgia General Assembly. Knight is proudly serving parts of Spalding, Butts and Lamar Counties for House District 126. His legislative duties currently include service to the memberships of the Banks and Banking, Higher Education, and Games, Fish and Parks Committees. He serves as the Vice Chairman for the Ways and Means Committee as well.

Originally hailing from Warner Robbins, the freshman representative attended both the University of Georgia and Augusta College, earning a degree in Accounting. He is quite active in his community. The devout Baptist is a member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin. He also holds membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Griffin Rotary and the American Red Cross.

David is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys sporting clays as well as golf. Representative Knight is happily married to the former Marie Harvey from Lamar County.
