A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 10 of Title 24 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to securing attendance of witnesses and production and preservation of evidence, so as to repeal the "Uniform Foreign Depositions Act" and to replace such Act with the "Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act"; to provide for a short title; to provide for definitions; to provide for issuance and service of subpoenas; to provide for depositions and production and inspection of documents and tangible evidence; to provide for protective orders; to provide for application and construction; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
